CASE Information Network

One of the major initiatives currently implemented by the ISE-Center is the CASE (Centers for Advanced Studies and Education) Program.

This Program was initiated in 2000 and receives support from the Russian Ministry of Education, the Kennan Institute, the Carnegie Corporation of New York, the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation.

The Program is aimed to expand the sphere of academic research in social sciences and humanities; enhance the quality of fundamental and applied research; develop existing academic schools and promoting emergent research teams in the area of social sciences and humanities; and achieve closer cooperation of Russian scholars with their counterparts in CIS and other countries.

The core component of the Program is the nine Centers for Advanced Studies and Education (CASE) hosted by the Voronezh, Far East, Irkutsk, Kaliningrad, Novgorod, Saratov, Tomsk, Ural and Rostov State Universities.

Tne CASE informational system is an internet portal comprising the central web-site www.iriss.ru, and nine regional website of Centers for Advanced Studies and Education, synchronized with the central website. Each of the regional web-sites features common networking information (the common news band, list and calendar of events, the databases of grantees and CASE libraries, all of the electronic publications) as well as the information on separate CASEs (regional news and events, detailed information about the CASE, description of projects and their implementation, databases, online libraries, links to specialized pages etc).
