On November 29, 2002, the 4-volume reader, Foreign Policy and Security of Contemporary Russia, 1991-2002, was presented to the public in the Oval Room of the Russian Library of Foreign Literature
The reader was published under the sponsorship of the Russian charity organization ISE Center (Information. Scholarship. Education.), the Open Society Institute, the Moscow State Institute of International Affairs (under the Russian Foreign Ministry), and the Russian Association of International Studies. The book is a compilation of research papers and materials, which give a comprehensive picture of Russia's foreign politics since 1991. It also includes discussion notes by Russian political analysts and scholars on key issues of the nation's foreign policy and international relations.
The presentation was attended by Mr. A. Torkunov, Rector of the Moscow State Institute of International Affairs (MSIIA); Mr. A. Melvil, MSIIA Vice-Rector; Academician A. Chubaryan, Director of the General History Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS); Mrs. I. Laktionova, Executive Director of the ISE Center (Information. Scholarship. Education.); Mrs. E. Ganieva, President of the Open Society Institute; the compilers, and leading experts in political science and international relations.
