NCEEER
The National Council For Eurasian and East European Research (NCEEER) was set up in 1978 to develop and support long-term, high quality programs of post-doctoral research about the social, political, economic and historical development of Russia, Eurasia, and Eastern Europe. For more than twenty years, NCEEER has had a dramatic impact on the field. It has held 25 peer-reviewed competitions, making 450 awards to over 1,000 scholars in 43 US states. Over 800 graduate students have participated in NCEEER-sponsored programs. NCEEER is an institutional partner of The American Council For International Education. This partnership provides for collaboration among the greatest donors in the field of research, exchange and probation for American scholars and for post-graduate students and scholars in the former Soviet Union. At the present time, the Regional Science Exchange Program is managed by NCEEER, ACMO and the Kennan Institute for Advanced Russian Studies (USA). Other programs are implemented by NCEEER. Particularly, the Carnegie Research Fellowship Program is implemented by NCEEER. This program supports professionals from the Voronezh, Tomsk and Sverdlov regions and the other specialists of Centers for Advanced Study and Education (CASE), which were opened at Voronezh, Tomsk and Ural State Universities as part of the CASE Program. At the present time, NCEEER is intensifying partnership with the ISE-Center with a view to raising the efficiency of the projects with common goals. NCEEER offers the scholars awarded by the CASE Program of the ISE-Center an opportunity to take part in the competition of the Carnegie Research Fellowship Program 2001-2002. Accordingly, the deadline has been specially extended for these scholars. Under the conditions of the Carnegie Research Fellowship Program 2001-2002 the awarded scholars have an opportunity to conduct research into the competition subjects at an American university for four months.
